Today I am being saddled with the onerous task to lead and manage the affairs of my organization, assuming the position of the chairman. But before the day ends, permit me to back up and recall the series of event that took place yesterday night in preparation for today
Right from the very first day I knew I had an inevitable date, my mind have barely been at rest, strategically engaging myself plotting what excuse to give to exempt myself from work today. But with faith and courage I braced up buckled and laced my lose heart to face the dreaded date.
Yesterday night when I got home from work knowing that, that which I greatly feared have come upon me, I lay in the bed in utter confusion of what to do. Series of thoughts running every which way in my heart, surprised at raging battle in the field of my mind. I carefully thought of which dress to wear, which shoe to wear, whether to shave my hair at least being the chairman required that I looked my best. Right in the midst of all these PHCN compounded my predicament negatively; I reached for the keg to fetch fuel for the generator. I combed the whole of Agege a suburb here in Lagos searching for fuel. Finally here was I with 2 liters of fuel at least for the night. After pouring the fuel into the generator, I tried putting it on, the more I tried the more frustrated I became as it vehemently refused to start.
I managed to check the time and discovered it was 20minutes to midnight, when from the blues PHCN answered my unspoken prayers. I quickly ironed my dress, polished my shoes and after wards I sat on the chair pulled out my parchment to brainstorm and strategise for the dreaded day which has began to unfold. I prayed fervently believing God for wisdom and sound discretion to tackle which ever issue that may arise. Before I could realize my self, the cock crowed, it was 4: 45 am this morning.
On my way to work, I began asking my self a few question and answering them without opening my mouth. I thought of how my Dreaded date have changed my mindset and altered my thought pattern in the positive. I saw my self from a new outlook of responsibility, dignity and capable of achieving my goals, if only I can match up with the required necessities of effective work, sharpened intellect, spiritual accuracy and pure excellence.
1. It very important for us to value and place value on the opportunities we have to fulfill our dreams and live out our purpose. Maximize each day and make it count positively in the direction of your life aspiration .Minimize liabilities, plan for the unexpected, face the inevitable, enjoy the ecstasies of life, and endure life’s disappointments.
2. Release ourselves from damaging relationships and debilitating fears, and move beyond our painful pasts.
3. Courageously face and conquer obstacles that may stand in our path to success.
4. Recognize and utilize our God-given potential to its fullest.
5. Set goals and develop strategies so that we may be all God wants us to be and fulfill the plan He has for us.
